AlpineLayer’s continuity approach is intended to reduce impact from infrastructure, supplier, security and operational disruption.
2. Resilience layers
- Recoverable infrastructure appropriate to the purchased service.
- Remote backup for products that include backup.
- Documented incident escalation and status communication.
- Capacity and supplier management.
- Security incident response.
- Recovery procedures for critical management systems.
3. Customer architecture
A single VM or server is not automatically highly available. Customers requiring HA or DR should use multiple failure domains and an appropriate managed or enterprise architecture.
4. Testing
Recovery procedures and backups should be tested periodically. Enterprise services may include agreed recovery exercises.
